So I haven't written in a while, but not much interesting or fun has happened. Last week my computer broke. It was the most frustrating thing ever, my advice to you is never get a blue screen of death while in Botswana. Seriously. I was stressed out for a week, I had three different appointments to have it fixed that got cancelled (although no one called to cancel them, they just conveniently chose not to show up). If people didn't feel like responding or being helpful they simply didn't. It was really really really really awful. Not to mention my Lit Review for my independent study was due during that time and I thought all my work was lost.

Luckily most of these problems have been rectified, although the people who fixed my computer apparently did a really bad job and I have to fix their fixing of it when I get back to the States. They apparently also cheated me out of $250, but I don't want to think about it.

Other than that I lost my student waiver so I now have to go to the police station, wait for hours, and then get harassed some more.

Sorry for being so glum, but it has been pretty much the worst week I've had since coming here.

On a brighter note: my friend Tswello's birthday is tomorrow and we are going out tonight for dinner. Tswello comes from Palapye. He is a sociology student but wants to drop out of school because he hates it. He is also a rapper and gave me his album, apparently some of the songs on it play on the radio here in Botswana.

My research is going well, although it slowed down last week due to the computer stress/data loss. I am hoping to pick up speed though, since the semester is winding down and the kindergarten actually closes right before Easter.

Other than that, my parents are visiting next weekend, yay! I am also beginning to plan an Easter break getaway to Namibia.

Hope you all are doing well.
